Not my usual greeting to you guys but i shall explain...or at least try :D

I have started digital painting by using "A beginners guide to digital painting in photoshop" book by 3d Total. I have got part way through the first chapter in which you "paint" a basic landscape and block in simple colors. 
There is a brief description of color theory in the book, but i have found myself getting more and more interested in the world of color theory and been reading every resource i can lay my eyes upon on that subject. Its becoming a huge distraction but i really love it. However i have found it harder to pick colors for my work but i am also noticing more colors when im out and about looking at everyday objects in a whole new light and seeing hues id never before noticed. I feel like an entire new palette of colors has become available to me and i no longer feel like i have a favorite color. Hence the quote :D

Which i recommend you check out as its like a color picker/maker thing that you can tranfer into photoshop :D

Here is my first attempt at digital painting a landscape. remember its in early stages and ive only blocked in colors. (i may change the colors as now i hate all the combination of colors i have previously used lol)

So yeah, as you can see its awful. And have a lot of work to do on it. However if you want to share tips and tricks im happy to hear them :)


I have also been using www.drawing-tutorials-online.com to keep in practice with my traditional drawing skills. Ill only share  a couple with you as i ended up doing hundreds, literally :/
I got up to Lesson 5 now :)

So thats it for this blog guys. Sorry its been short again but at least i managed a second Tuesday in a row :)
